What should I wear?

It is wise to choose clothing in neutral, camouflage colours such as brown, khaki, stone or beige which will make you less visible and able to get closer to the wild animals you may want to see. It is advisable to layer your clothing as this provides more warmth when necessary and allows you to remove clothing during the hottest period of the day.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes, The RO water provided at Pench Jungle Camp is perfectly safe to drink.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not compulsory at Pench Jungle Camp, however, should you wish to leave a gratuity, they can be placed in the envelopes which are supplied in the rooms. There is also a common tip box which is kept at the reception area.

Are transfers available?

Yes. We can arrange for your surface transfers from Nagpur, Jabalpur, Raipur, Kanha National Park, Satpura National Park or Tadoba National Park.

Which is the closest Airport or Railway station?

Nagpur is the closest Airport and Railway station. It is 98 kms/ 2:30 hours’ drive from the resort.

Do you accept payment by Cards?

Yes, we accept payments by Visa, Master Cards or online banking.

Are Children allowed on safaris?

Yes, children of all ages are allowed on Jungle Safaris however under the supervision of a guardian.

What about security?

Pench Jungle Camp has trained security guards on duty 24 hours a day. We also have intercoms in all rooms.

When is the best time to visit?

Pench National Park remains open for safaris form 1st October to 30th June every year. Park remains close for safaris in July, August and September due to monsoon. October to March offers the best weather with sunny days and very few days of rain. April to June gets hot but is excellent for sightings in the park.

How long should I stay?

We recommend staying at least 3 nights for the best experience.

What is the electricity supply in India and what plugs are used?

The electricity supply is 230 – 240 volt, with three round pin plugs. Most western visitors will require an adaptor. Adaptors are available on request at our lodge.

What kind of food will I be served at the lodge?

A delectable buffet spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served at the lodge; Breakfast is usually served on safari. Lunch and Dinner is Indian & continental cuisine. Pure Vegetarian and other special food requests are taken care of on prior information.
